Over the weekend, we took a dog friendly walk from Danes Dyke to Bridlington, pausing for lunch and refreshments at The Ship Inn in Sewerby.
We parked near the Danes Park Cafe and Picnic area and followed the woodland path to the pebble beach. With the tide going out, we decided to walk along the beach, exploring the rock pools as we went. Ember posed for photos on the rocks and swam in the sea.
Upon reaching Sewerby, we climbed the steps from the beach.
The Ship Inn features a spacious beer garden with a children's play area, an outdoor bar, and the lobster shack offering fresh lobster and seafood. You can also order from the bar menu. During the spring and summer weekends, live musicians perform in the beer garden, creating a pleasant and relaxed atmosphere.
After some time, we continued our walk along the beach to Bridlington. The beach is dog friendly until you reach the promenade at the South Bay. There you can head up on to the promenade.

We returned via the cliff top path, where the land train also operates between Bridlington and Sewerby, passing Sewerby Hall, the cricket pitch, and the golf course back to the car.
